The only drawback is that they do not rent guns. But to be perfectly honest I prefer NOT to be in a shooting booth with a bunch of inexperienced shooters.
At some point, we were all inexperience shooters. How else are they going to learn unless someone shows them the proper way to do it.

This is true, we all have to learn from someone. But I'm not too keen on people with no prior gun experience being able to walk in somewhere with no background check, rent a hand gun and buy a box of ammo and start blasting away without having first completed at least some kind of training class.

At the last s2k shooting outing I went to we had experienced shooter's/owners that took the time to teach a member on the operation, skill and respect that I believe is necessary to to operate a hand gun. That is eaiser to manage when the gun owner is there instructing, rather than 4 inexperienced shooters in a lane with earprotection and a rental gun trying to figure out if they are doing things right while the owners are doing their own thing.

I don't mean to insult anyone here and I expect that most people have pretty good judgement, but I learned about guns from a career military officer that instilled a lot of respect for guns and there power in me. It only takes one missplaced bullet to ruin a perfectly good day/life.

off soapbox.
