imho, the middle fork isn't anything at all. i went with 5 other newbs (2 girls 4 guys) who are all in decent shape. I think ours was rated a IV+ and i was honestly hoping for more. none of us are particularly amazing swimmers either, but we never even came close to flipping the raft. if i do it again, i'll definitely opt for something more advanced.
