Where to try helmets?

Where to try helmets?
I was looking for a new auto racing helmet for the track. I've been using a motorcycle helmet and was wondering where is there a shop near San Francisco that has auto helmets to try on?

The nearest shop to SF that I know stocks car helmets is Wine Country Motorsports @ Sears Point Raceway.
Some shops will price match, so if you do find something you like, give them a chance to get your business.

I know of Wine Country at Infineon, Helmet City in Oakland, IO Port in Lafayette, and I got mine at Pitstop USA in Petaluma. I bought mine in store because they gave a hefty discount (much cheaper than online) and it's good to support local business. They'll be happy to do business with you (match prices, discount, etc.) if you're courteous and respectful, but please don't come in with a mindset of not buying if you're using their services.

car helmets also have more safety features; fire protection, for one

Besides the aesthetics, shape & aero, motorcycle helmets are designed to take a single-couple hard impacts where as an Auto is designed to take multiple less intense impacts. Generally once a motorcycle helmet is damaged from an accident; it is recommended to replace. Venting technology may be different as well.
For the occasional non-competitive/pro-level HPDEs, I tend to believe a motorcycle helmet should suffice.
I like the ST4 Formula & Wide editions from this manufacturer: http://stilo-usa.com/helmets
