I live right north of Menlo Park/Palo Alto area. Menlo Honda is closest, but they have a "no test drive policy" blah blah.

Am most likely going to get the car, I just want to test drive it for obvious reassurance issues (road feel, highway cruising at 85, audio and comfort while sitting in it)

i dont know about that i test drove my 04 at menlo honda when i purchased. the car definatly sold itself to me once i drove it. road feel= very smooth, highway at 85 is cool but you have plenty of power to go faster. i love my s2k

Before I bought my S, I went to Stevens Creek Honda and the Honda on El Camino in Sunnyvale...and never had any problems test driving it. Sometimes....not to steriotype you...but if you look very young...then the salesman will be a d*ck to you.

despite some HP its pretty gutless blow 6 grand. if you'll cool with this its a great car.
