Not yet. But if this rain keeps up, it may be leaking by tomorrow morning.

i had the same kinda black vinyl patch put on mine and then they put some kinda black silicone stuff on the outside for $20. jus went to some random upholstry place around here. held up alright for 1yr.. i guess i'll jus go back and get it done again. not really expensive and works good enough haha

That's OK. I looked at the cracks again this morning and although water seeps in if I touch it, there is no leak if I leave it alone. So not as urgent as I had thought, besides I don't want to patch it when it is wet anyway -- the glue may not hold.

On the other hand, patching "on the hole" from the inside is not as easy as it sounds. From the inside, the cracks are in the area where several frame tubes come together, so it is not easy to get to. But I guess that's why we pay the professionals to do the job.

With the weather getting warmer, I want to put the top down. But I held off because I didn't want to stress the cracks further until they are patched.

I called the local Honda service reps and ask them who they use for working on the tops and both Los Gatos (South Bay) and Stevens Creek recommended Bascom Trim & Uphostery (in Santa Clara). Larry Hopkins recommended Premier. Since Bascom is right around the corner from my office, I just took my car there this morning and got the two cracks patched for $55. I hope it holds up. Now I can enjoy the top down again.

What was the procedure they did to patch the cracks? Just curious

They glued a piece of "patch material" on the inside of the crack. I don't know exactly what the patch is made of, could be canvas or vinyl. But it was quite large compared to the size of the crack (the crack is maybe 1 inch in length, but the patch is about 4+ inches square). I guess they used a large piece to avoid the stress from folding because it sits on the fold. Nothing is visible from the outside.
