where is a good places to take pics?
can anyone recommend a place to take some decent pics?
anywhere with a nice scenery or somewhere that over looks a congested freeway or traffic? i think a 20 mile radius from sunnyvale should be enough.
thanks.

I say the back side of Oahu near Chinamans Hat. Its like the freeway is litterally 12 inches from the water. Very nice or even H3 on the Kaneohe side. In California nothing really comes close. There are a few nice spots up north and a few south. But thats about it. Sunnyvale? Not even sure.

the only place i can think of that's not too busy is in los gatos right by the exotic car dealership. there's a small bridge that overlooks hwy 17. at night, that place is absolutely empty, but with that said, it's got incandescant lighting, making your car look yellow.

You can go to Villa Montalvo in Saratoga...park it right in front of the mansion and lawn to get some nice pictures. Especially with the sun we've been gettting, you should get some great shots at the golden hour right around 430--500. (Keep in mind there are some hills around Saratoga/Los Gatos to hide the sun earlier than printed times for sunset...)

I live in sunnyvale also. I think a good place is the Valco Mall Parking lot, that place is dead. You have to take the back entrance because they are doing work in the front... It's cool because thay have all types of lighting and tunnels. I think if we got some one with some skills like Jeff (arrrmand) to take pics over there it would come out really nice. Look at the pic of my car in my sig, I think it came out ok and I suck at taking pictures. So my vote for Valco parking lot

There are a lot of nice locations in CA, just not many around Sunnyvale (to my knowledge). Your best bet is SF and the drive north of SF. Or Hwy 1 and the path all the way down to SoCal. If you want the coastal scenery shots
