Where does everyone work?

It's just nice to have a job these days I guess.
Where do you y'all work? What do you like/dislike about your company?
I'll go first. I'm a Network Specialist for the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, a non-profit research organization.
Office is in Downtown Berkeley. Lots of good food/culture. Killer view of the bay from my office of the gg bridge, alcatraz and the city. Nice perks like laptop, cell phone, and free high speed internet for my apt. Good pay, killer benefits, and stable environment. I also do about 20-30 days of domestic business travel. Everywhere from LA to NY.
Long commute from Foster City. I plan on moving closer soon. Also I only have 2 other co-workers (male) in our suite. The headquarters is located back east.

I work for a consulting firm, sit in front of a computer all day and write if statements...if this, then do this, else do this...actually it used to be very challenging and fun, but with the economy these days the projects have been pretty boring. the pay is decent/pretty good (all relative), same perks as you, laptop, cell phone, etc. what sucks is i travel quite a bit...meaning i don't get to drive my cars that much. instead i abuse rentals.
berkeley...you can check out the college chics

I work in Livermore for the biggest contract Residential Flooring company west of the Mississippi...I work in the main design center and I'd like to say I get a education here...being the youngest, only male in the office aside from the VP of the company. I am the envy of our Corporate Office. I sit in the computer all day and be bored.
The pay is good and I'm content but that'll change in a month...the Benefits are awesome! The office environment is very laid back...but can be hectic at times.
Parking is right in front of our office and my car is a good 40 feet from the show room floor so I can always keep an eye on it. Everyone drives BWM's that work here aside from me but that means no door dings cause everyone here is anal about therr cars and respects one another. As in the view...all it is are hills, the parking lot, and the office buildings next to ours across the parking lot.
There isn't anywhere to eat around here until I go down a couple of exits.
About a 30 minute commute from Newark/Fremont area. Hopefully that'll change by next year when I'll have enough funds to purchase a house in the area.

I'm in charge of Payroll for a small business in South San Francisco. I calculate, create and print the paychecks. As well as all the appropriate payroll forms, W-2's, W-9's, 401K's, Employer Tax Returns etc.. It's a small company so I pretty much handle it all.
Pay is nice and so is the location. I live in near my work in South San Francisco so my commute is walk able. Comes in real handy when the police impound your car and you have no way of getting to work.

I'm a computer programmer at a tech (software) company in Scotts Valley. Those of you who know the area can probably narrow it down to a couple of possible places.
Things I like include the laid back atmosphere and personal freedoms we enjoy. People here are pretty relaxed, and generally easy to get along with. Main things I dislike are that Scotts Valley is fairly limited in the amount of things to do, places to eat, etc. Since I live in San Jose, it's also a 30+ mile commute for me. The drive through the 17 is pretty nice, though. Also, another complaint is the relatively low pay here, as well the fact that the company stopped covering my school tuition - that took a fat bite out of my take-home pay.

I work for a financial services/brokerage company in Silicon Valley as a Producer for their web site. I build and maintain web sites all day long. Oh and manage monkeys and idiots. Internet time...I'm a veteran - should be retired.
I love my job! I thrive in high-stress environments. The only bad thing is that sometimes I burn out...but the job is flexible enough for me to take the extra time I need to recoop.

I'm a college student working in the UCB computer facilities. My job consists of monitoring the computer labs and assisting clients. But I pretty much just sit in front of the computer and surf the web. The pay is pretty good, at least for a part time job. Only thing that sucks is that I can't do homework.
