I went to SF Honda. They sell tires wholesale. $800 for 4 s03's, 245/45/16 in the back, INCLUDING tax, mounting and ALIGNMENT. Tire rack could not beat it. costco was a little cheaper, but they would not sell 245/45/16 in the rear, because this is not OEM size.

Good deal, but the s0-3 is a good rain tire, but not much of a dry grip tire. I recommend just getting the oem s-02 if you are putting them on stock wheels. They are hard to beat and you can get about 10-15k out of them normally.

Do not pay more than $15 per wheel/tire to be mounted. Do not bring to discount tires or wheel works or something. They charge like $120 for 4.

tire reccomendations are usually based upon what you are doing with the car. Remember, these cars are meant to be steered, and driven hard. Avoid cheap tires if your budget allows it.

For the financially unstable, I recommend the Yokohama AVS ES100's. They are the best bang for the buck.

For the financially stable, get some nice tires, anything from pilot sports, BFG KD's, S02's/03's, Toyo T1S and Kumho MX's.

If you track the car, Kumho Ecsta V700's, Victoracers, Toyo RA1's, and if you are brave, Hoosier R3S03's. They are all capable of driving on the streets in the rain and/or dry. Hoosiers, are a bit frightening, but they do work. (I ran at thunderhill on hoosiers on a wet course)

Try to avoid drag tires like Nitto tires and such. sorry if I offended anyone by saying that if they drag their cars.

I'm thinking about getting CE28N's 17 x 8 fronts, 17 x 9 rear. What kind of tires should i get? Right now I'm running Toyo Proxes on my OEM's and heard they are pretty good. Any other suggestions?

Terrance914 - you make some good points. Any recommendations on where to get tires mounted at a fair price? I've got some on the way from Tire Rack. Thx.

if you are in/near milpitas, Pacific tire outlet. ~ $60. something like that.

Which toyo proxes are you thinking of? The are FZ4's, some stick, T1S's, more stick, and RA1's, fly trap. I think the T1S's are good street tires, but are pricey.

I've got the T1s currently. I'm gonna give the Yoko AVSs a try. I considered the Kumho MXs but didn't like my previous experience with 712s. Thx.
