I've also been considering one of these oil drain valves recently. I read all of the forum speculations about possible modes of failure, but have not heard a single report to back up those claims. Sounds like a decent enough product to me. Its on my x-mas wishless needless-to-say...

The contact info for the s2ki sponsor who sells the Fumoto's:

Name: Joey Tam
Website: http://www.JS2k.com
Email: Joey@JS2k.com
Phone: 972-740-0466

In my email correspondence dated 9/7/2010, he stated:

"Fumoto USA doesn't sell directly to the public. They use distributors and dealers. My price is right on par after shipping with other companies. I did research before I started selling these, and most internet retailers sell them for the same price, however, they like to mark up their shipping, so the end result is around the same price. If you do find a cheaper price, let me know and I'd be glad to beat it!"

I've had mine on for about 600 miles, I check up on it regularly and have had no issues. Solid and heavy build quality. Can't wait to do an oil change with it!

I also purchased the key hole covers, good stuff too.

how long are you able to run on it without changing it? or do you have to change it at all? is it wise to change it once in a while?
