Wheel Sizing
I posted this in the Wheels and Tires subforum, but I'm not getting much of a response, so I'm hoping you Bay Area folks can help me out
1. Which is better, 18x8/18x9 or 18x9/18x10?
2. I'm looking into some custom made wheels, which means that I can pick my own offsets. People say the higher the better, but is there such thing as TOO high? I will probably drop my car around an inch or so, and I want to avoid rubbing without doing any fender rolling, so what offsets should I choose?
3. What tire sizes work best with the above wheel sizes + offsets? Does 225/40 and 255/35 sound about right?
Thanks!

I used to have 18 SSR SP1 with 18x8 +49 225-40 and 18X9 +62 255-35 tires no rubbing issue at all. Im lowered with S-TECHS 1 inch.
My current set up is AME 18X8 +42 225-40 and 18X9 +50 255-35 with same suspension,no rubbing too. Also never rolled my fender.
