wow! don't let those "vintage" guys see this ..they'd declare it un-PC and flame it to death....
where was i..?? ethnicity-pretty much northern european white guy [my dermatologist says my skin is typical of pre historic "forest dwellers"[ie no tolerance for sun]..culture is really rather bay-area calif...i was born here and my parents came here quite young so i missed any particular "culture" that might have been imported...
however on the ancestery of my father [he was born australian] i can trace the male W's [as in dbw] back to the second wave of british/irish convicts given a sentence of "transportation" to sydney in the late 1700's..[the first was a "highwayman"...or as we would now say, armed robber ]and every gereration up to and including my father was born and raised within a 10 square block area in sydney called surrey hills... my dad immigrated in 1929 with his mother to san francisco and left no living relatives down under... g'day mate
