test pipe smell was horrible on my car. every time i stopped the car at a light, this nasty exhaust smell would fly over my car and make me feel like i was about to get cancer. other random cars would pull up next to me to tell me that my car smelled and that i should get it checked out.

that's why i went with a hfc.

get a 60/63mm hfc. don't get a 70. read gernby's posts on mis-matching

I'm just hopeful that a HFc will at least reduce my chances of being harasses by the cops.
An added benefit is that I wont pollute as much!

That stink is pretty much the reason I want to go with HFC.
I'm aiming to return my Asura cat, and might need the help of the community if they guy refuses to give me a refund. We'll cross that bridge when it comes to it.

My other car a 73 `Cuda with a 340 V8, basically an old school muscle car
no catalytic converters on it at all since the law says 1975 and older does not require it

that thing doesn't attract cops anymore than my CR does and stinks more as well
the F22C combusts gas more efficiently than any carburated V8 ever will
you should be fine with a test pipe on your S

I'm not a fan of test pipe either. Don't like the smell and can't stand to drive behind a car who has test pipe. Horrible smell!!!
And this coming from a racer. In a race car at least we're moving fast all the time and I'm wearing a helmet.

Hell yeah. My Dad's 1972 Mini Cooper has straight exhaust with no cat.
His Mini doesn't quite put down the same power as your 'Cuda though!

The comptech header and exhaust is 63 mm
Ooo ok, that might seal the deal then! Do you have a source for your info?
Based on what I've heard, the 3" Asura is likely "too large" (3" = 76.2mm).
If I can return the Asura, I'm going to go for the Berk 63.5mm!

Here is tha article on the exhaust Stating that it is 63mm http://www.importtuner.com/powerpage...000/index.html

Here is the "official Header Thread where they show that the Comptech Header collecter is 63mm.
