Depends on the time of day you are driving! I leave work at 3am.... I have been pulled over many time going between 65-70 mph on 580 thru Dublin/Livermore and pulled over just to be asked a bunch of stupid questions! Firstly - "have you been drinking?". Mother F-er... I just got off work! When I ask why I was pulled over, they all have a dumb azz reason. None of which are valid because my S is legit all the way around. It's just part of the daily commute for me!

They basically just post up for a few weeks whenever there has been a bad accident. 50-60mph is taking it easy through that section, that is the pace of any normal commuter through there too. I usually avoid that section all together but I would say 90% of the time that I use it to go home it is completely clear the entire way into Saratoga.

The only way to actually get a ticket on 9 is driving at normal commuter speeds..

Me too. With the exception that I don't hit the gas pedal instead of the brake like my grandma.

85 mph in a 55 mph. They reduced it to following to close,2 points $300 fine. Walked away with only 2 points. And signed up for DD.

Why would 85 in a 55 be 2 points?

I got pulled over in my Evo for going 119 in a 55 (I was at 134 but pulled e brake) , got a lawyer and it was dropped down to 1 point and the fine. I stopped speeding after this.

I wonder how often a no front license plate ticket is added on top as well.

Often times that could get you out of a speeding ticket if you are good at talking your way out.

Sort of off the wall but this morning as I was coming down 92 West to get on 280 North I noticed a car on the overpass, Kept staring at it because I was nosey. Turned out to be a CHP that tried to cover his door/reflective badge up with a bush and he was standing 5-6 from his car inside the bush with a radar/lidar gun of some sort (DRESSED IN BLACK) mind you this was at about 6am when it was completely dark and the parking lots were completely off.

I don't really see how this can even be legal. Not only was it a distraction but if someone doesn't see him as being an officer and thinks they are having a gun pointed at them that could make for a bad accident if not careful enough. Stupid move but who am I to tell them what they can/can't do? Oh well...

Haven't had a ticket since my 101 in a 65. Got reckless driving, racing on the highway and speeding ticket. $500 and my insurance went through the roof! That was 3 years ago. Learned my lesson for sure. But I won the race

Funny this thread started -

Just got this last month. Going to fight it, supposedly, they are not suppose to use a radar on a freeway and are suppose to pace me. We'll see what happens.

I was actually going about 82 but he put me down for 75 cos the cop was saying that if he put me more then 10 mph over the speed limit, they would start charging per mph.
