Default What is good handheld GPS to get and why?

Hello everyone...
I'm looking to get a handheld GPS for around $700 or less if possible. I would prefer Garmin (good stock... and they even use my touchscreen!) but am open to other brands.

Features I am looking for:
ERGONOMIC!!!
Bigger screen (anything bigger than the 3.5"... I'm blind)
Voice transmitter to your car radio
No subscription fees for any of the traffic alert stuff
Maybe a window suction cup device thing a mer bobber

Other than that I don't really know what is out there? I hear that they play videos and MP3's now on a GPS... but I can't see the benefit.

Thanks,
Andrew

I think for most handheld navs you're going to have to pay for the traffic alert. It's $60 bucks a year for the Garmin.

I have the nuvi 660 and love it. the 300 series are the comparables but with a much smaller screen. 660 has bluetooth, mp3 player (that i never use), voice transmitter to your car radio or you can just have it talk to you, slim and fits in your pocket, and you can upload pictures to it from a SD memory stick.

I have mine mounted on the modifry 3" bracket instead of the window suction cup thing.

I need one too. Unfortunately when I am in LA, GPS may show you the shortest route through the most congested roads...let me know which on you decide on...I'll get the same if I like it.

Very slick... And I was looking at the 660 as well because it is the first line up with the big monitor and directions over car radio option.

Is it easy to use? I mean I have NEVER used one before... not even seen one in person.

Is the cable coming out of it for charge or this FM transmitter thing I keep reading.

The Nuvi 660 is so easy to use it doesn't even come with a manual. Just a quick start pamphlet.

My mom knows how to use it; if she can use it, anyone can. (I know I'm leaving myself wide open with this one, just take it easy guys )

BTW lilazngrl4o8, you don't need to fold the antenna all the way up like that. It's supposed to be flat/parallel to the ground.
