What gas do you use?
Hi all,
I'm curious about the gas you all use. I'm a Chevron and sometimes 76 user with no problems. I know all gas comes from the same source and is modified by the distributors before getting to the pump. Does the S2K really care what 91 Octane gas we use?
Thanks,
Archon
BTW: I'm getting almost 19 MPG in City only with Chevron.

I'm sure this has been discussed before... but anyhow...
I'm sure it is all marketing and such, and there really is no difference. But, I use Chevron and only Chevron... I've only used one other brand and only once... I used 76 at sears point, because I didn't have time to find a chevron. Not bad for 13K miles .
I figure if I ever have a problem due to gas... I can pretty much prove it was Chevron's fault .
Does anyone know if chevron is a franchise or a centrally owned chain?

My good friend had a job at an independant fuel testing lab. His job was to break down and re-build the test engines, after they'd been running on a specific fuel for a few weeks (constantly). Chevron fuel burned the cleanest, leaving no deposits, with 76 a close second. Shell came second to worst (behind Arco) which is ironic considering how much they charge. Anyways, you all are welcome to talk to him about it, he will probably be at the next tech day I'm hosting (I'll be announcing it as soon as I have an estimate for when my s2k will be out of the body shop).

Chevron. What can I say, I like their toy car commercials!
Actually, I use to be a Mobil person before they started disappearing.
