oh boy... Casey drives very aggressively on mountain roads. I drive the roads adjoining to it and have worn out my star specs in a ridiculous amount of time, i think it took 3 months. thats with 2 -3 drives on that road per weekend. It was ridiculous and I wouldnt do it again.

All in all, its about how fast AND what are you driving on.

The road is a cheese grater. It's not like traditional pavement on the highway. It's pebbles glued to tar. I got five thousand miles per set of tire on my old eclipse when drivin fast and 8k when drivin tame. That was on htrz2 for years. I guess we have to credit this as the road condition plus the pace. Edwin knows what's up I see him almost every weekend at the vista point and I'm taking a more cheese grater-esque road, and lapping it 3-4x per weekend.

My alignment is done regularly at auto innovations and every time I read the print out the specs are not out of whack.

Darkfalcon rode along in my car tonight for a couple runs and I think he knows why I last 5k. My buddy in the Audi s4 is burning through tires at the same rate.

I really think its the drivin style (pace) plus the type of pavement/asphalt we are driving on.

Well aren't you a magician? That's not even fair. Drive on alpine page mill and stage road for several hours every weekend for a full set of tires and tell me how many miles under 12k you rack up.

I can't figure out how to multi quote on my phone.

I agree pace + pavement = the perfect formula for changing tires every 2-3 months.
