It will become a point on your record if you just pay the fine and do not have it fixed.

If the same officer pulls you over for tint again, I believe its a non correctable violation and the fine is larger

I would just take it off, it just gives a cop an excuse to pull you over; same for not having a front plate.

How you figure? It's not a moving violation.

That very well could be the cause.

what are the chances of them looking at the vin# though? sometimes cops dont even write the vin# on the ticket either. from experience, they usually just check for the right plate. but yes there would be a chance that they could check for vin#.
I've had friends do this before. I'd consider it a last option if you dont want to take the tint off or pay the fine. Havent heard of any bad experiences yet.

yea i dont think you get a point because of what vu said. i think i've paid it twice and i didnt get any points on my license. i didnt want to remove it to get it signed off and then still have to pay $10. I would have to pay to get the front two redone anyways so i figured jus paying the $110 would be worth all that trouble.

that would really suck to get pulled over by the same officer. i wonder if he'd actually remember though. i know i've gotten pulled over twice in the same car and the violation was the same amount.

i wouldnt consider this an option..seems too risky to save some money.

it doesnt have to be a moving violation to get a point on your record

I have friends in the dmv and insurance companies.

But i guess my word is no good.

You can just pay and not fix it, dont be surprised if you get a point on your record for 3 years
