Default What do you guys do for window tint violations?

Well the inevitable happened last friday as we were headed for some boba in Milpitas and some rookie cop pulled us over. Besides the red light ticket he wrote my girl up for the window tint violation.

We would prefer not to remove it and get it signed off but I don't know anyone that can do it these days.

Do you think taking a picture of another identical car without the tint would be enough to get it signed off?

advice?

TIA,
rick

You have to get it signed off in person with the vehicle there. If you know a cop or knows someone who can get it signed off for you, the LEO doesnt need to be there.

what does your girl drive.. you can find someone with the same car/color, just swap license plates n get it signed off...or if you know a cop that works too. or if your handy, find a untinted car and swap the windows, and swap them back afterwards.

That works until the cop checks the vin and then gives you another ticket for having the wrong plate on the wrong car.

what are the chances of them looking at the vin# though? sometimes cops dont even write the vin# on the ticket either. from experience, they usually just check for the right plate. but yes there would be a chance that they could check for vin#.

Are you trying to get me arrested or in more trouble? LOL

That is the worst advice ever to try and pull a fast one on a police officer! OMG, you try that and let me know how it goes.

I'm looking for use-able advice here guys....I may just pull it off since I don't know anyone to sign for me.
