Because if I was to pay that kind of money for a Japanese car; I want those Japanese workers in a Japanese managed Honda plant to make it just like all the other Honda's I've owned in the past/current. Theres something to be said of Japanese quality & build for material things and I believe its included in the cost of what you buy. $0.02

One could say the original design was a Japanese copy of Italian cars of the time. The Japanese Ferrari. Did that make it any less cool? Nope.

I also believe that the US made Honda's are not as well made as the Japan's ones.

For cars like the NSX they won't let just anyone build it. You have to be good at the art to even be hired to build one. Same kind of quality control happens for the Corvette, only people that have been working in the trade will be allowed to build it, and it will be built in a special facility that builds only that car. It's treated and built very differently than a regular car like a Civic.
