Castrol Edge or Royal Purple.

Amsoil is so overkill, only if your truly changing at the recommended interval, which is like 12k miles?

But i vote for anything except Mobil 1.
What's wrong with mobil 1?

they also changed their formula, as confirmed by internet police.

But i just felt the engine was smoother with Castrol(pre Edge) and Royal Purple. I'm using Castrol Edge, but don't know about it.

Just try it and see it you feel any differences.

I don't follow up on oil, but is Mobil I still a Class IV synthetic or is it down to a Class III blend or whatever? A class III oil PAO based oil is probably fine for daily driving, but many of us push our cars -- some more than others, and in a completely unscientific manner, would probably like the peace of mind of a higher quality class IV/V oil with higher sheer temps and protection all around.

Thanks for all your feedbacks. Are there any hook ups for Amsoil/Royal Purple/Castro?

Black bottle Castrol (not edge) that made in Germany, look at back of the bottle, Warmarts don't have . Or Shell Rotella 5W-40.

M1 is not just burning, it has less protection than most synthetic oils you could find on marketing, tested by blackstone lab, go google it.

macr88 can get you Amsoil, but then you have to become his friend -- and he's grumpy in the morning

Lubrify.com carries Amsoil, Eneos, Total, LubroMoly, Torco, etc. Mostly high end lubricants... tell them Ken sent you.

German castrol is good too (black bottle with green label), you can get it at autozone.

M1 yup, poor blackstone result coz according to my source at redline, M1 still uses dinosaurs as base hehe

I use Redline in my s2k and truck coz i get it from factory for the price of cheapest oil at walmart and Total in my german cars...
