Does any group in the area set up a wet autocross? with all the news of people having difficulties in the wet, it would be nice to be able to go somewhere and drive in the wet and lose control to feel the limits.
...and besides that, it would be REALLY FUN!

I've been considering trying to arrange some sort of wet driving workshop, but I can't think of a parking lot with a hose or something near it so we could make sure it was wet and there was standing water in the event of a sunny day. If anyone can think of/provide a location, I'll do the rest...

I don't know of any wet autocrosses, but they do run the local autocrosses when it is raining. Chances are that it will be raining during a few of the local events between Jan and Mar.

I have been to auto-x events at Mather air field in Sacramento, and noticed that there is a part of the concrete pad which is set up for just this. It has barriers and large water hoses. It appears to be used by local law or fire agencies. Have no idea if it would be available to the public. Note that I am not saying that it was used during the auto-x, I just saw it there.

The SF SCCA runs a SOLOII winter series; runs rain or shine. I think the next one is on the 16th at the Oakland Colloseum. Never know, it could be wet! I'm thinking about going.

hmmmm, maybe i'll even attend one of these rainy auto crosses with my old worn out S02's on instead of the new ones. Now THAT would be fun...provided there are no walls or obstacles.
