Nevermind RACER... He likes to f$ck with people. Your diff will not overheat. You will not spin out from the leaking diff mounts.

Your diff mounts need to be replaced. Honda liquid fills some of their mounts to isolate vibration. The world will not end if you drive with them broken, however they should be replaced as soon as possible.

Thx. Probably a good idea to replace both while I'm at it? The parts are a lot cheaper than I expected.

Might as well... they are relatively easy to replace as well.

I talked to Billman, he said those things are liquid filled. It isn't oil from the diff itself.

I didn't know that

I found the parts for cheap, not sure how much the labor is gonna be though.
Labor shouldn't be too bad if you know a trusted reputable mechanic.

Depending on how long it has been leaking, if you wait too long, the diff will over heat and then...

you're freaking him out with this one.

I honestly didn't know that the diff mounts were filled with oil.

Good, at least you caught it before it goes really bad.

Yup, good thing you caught it now!! Some idiot I know (me) let his tranny run dry due to a failed seal. Damn expensive and a giant head ache if you ask me. Imagine having your horsepower cut in half! Oh the pain of it all.

Looks like I'll be getting mine replaced under warranty too.

I'm taking my car in all day tomorrow just so they can look at it and figure out which parts to order.
