Default Warning to Bay Area owners

Hello,

I just want to give everyone the heads up that there have been several car thefts in and around the bay area(especially San Mateo county)as of late. My Freind had his Type-R stolen from his house. Also another friend had his GS-R stolen, and A couple of award winning show cars were stolen in hayward, from their homes. My Brand New White/Red S2000 has been vandilized twice since I have had it!!!! And it has only been 2 Weeks(Stole my wheels and stole my honda badges).

Just want everyone to be prepared!

On that note, Can anyone recommend a Good paint shop where I can get the holes filled in??? I've been quoted $850 for the front bumper and trunk lid. Includes spot welding, sanding and repainting the bumper and trunk. That seems like a lot to me but I'm not to familiar with costs for this kind of thing.

Any help would be appreciated

That price seems about right. The body shop I used for my S2000 was Rainbow Autobody in Hayward. I was VERY pleased, they did a perfect color match on my silver.

I don't know if police are doing too much. I work at the honda dealer in burlingame, and Thats where I heard about most of this. But hopefully the cops are doing something. awWhHDayUm do you spend alot of time in burlingame? I'm not sure if I have seen you or not.

Thanks for the recommendation CRussel I'll check it out.

thanks for the warning.

make sure you park in your garage at night and never leave your car sitting out in the streets.

Thanks for the heads up. I know now to always garage my car at night. I feel sorry for the cars that have been stolen and vandalized but what goes around comes around and they will eventually get it back.

MY GS-R was stolen awhile ago last year ... the threat is always there. Just make sure you're insured!!!

It's just a car... having it stolen is just a big inconvenience... but that's why you pay for insurance.
