S2000s are not required to get a roll bar to go on the track but its recommended.

Check out http://www.tcdesignfab.com/ he does some cool fab work and has some track parts for the S available.

id be down. i think thunderhill is a good bet to go with. In fact, I'm planning to go there already in the end of April. There's a volvo track day (my friend is a volvo fanatic) and i'm tagging along with him and i'm bringing my S. Id love to go in march though, the sooner the better.

Go to Autocross first. Learn few things about controlling cars. It's also much cheaper to start than start going on the tack events and you get more turns than those tracks. Of course, this is just my opinion.

hey, maybe we should get a small track day going for beginners? I want to take my s to the track sometime soon too. It'd be cool if we went as a small s2k group or somethin.
Cost to rent the track will be much higher with small amount of people unless you can pay the amount to rent the track. Not so reasonable for beginners.

oh, i actually meant just go as a small several-people-group, not a big party of s2k members.
