Visiting Bay Area from Southern California
Just wanted to post that I will be flying into Oakland Saturday night and staying at Hilton Oakland Airport to do some R&R. Contemplating car rental to sightsee or using mass transit (B.A.R.T.). Golden Gate Park is on my agenda to check out Sunday Morning/Afternoon.

Hilton Oakland Airport for R&R? Are you a masochist? I can think of a dozen other better places to stay .... more the area in question than the hilton.... I lived in oakland for 20 years...

Our company uses the Hilton and that was the closest to the Airport. We are going to be taking in the sights Sunday and Monday. Will be renting a car... Unfortunately I would not be up to partying late Saturday night. If I see an S2000 I make sure to say Hi.

Bay Area must have a larger concentration of S2000 than Southern California because I saw ten on my two day trip into the bay. Oakland Bridge and Union Square area as well as China town. This city with the parking situation seems to be like door ding central. Sebring Silver, and some Formula Red was the predominate colors I spotted. I was in an enterprise rental sedan.

Golden Gate is pretty....you might want to buy tickets to Alcatraz in advance, go to Napa for wine tasting, eat yummy clam chowder in a sourdough bowl at Fisherman's wharf, and go to the exploratorium.
There's also shopping in Castro, checking out the sights in Berkeley/Haight-Ashbury, and dinner at Crustacean.
Maybe if you dress up as a girl, you can get your own personalized tour guide!
