I think it falls back on the parents not caring enough about the right things.
Kids can be cruel growing up and it comes down to how your parents react to the way
your feeling.
He was setup for failure.he did.

His parents had two children. Unlike the gunman, his sister graduated from princeton and was working for the US government. So are you blaming his parents only caring for their other child??? They did what they had to do. They raised their child the same way like all immigrant parents do by working their ass off and put them to college for a better education. The rest is up to the kid.
The guy had a lack of social skills and was picked on all his life because he was *different*. I'm very suprised that no one is bringing up the fact that kids discriminating other kids. Whether making fun of that one odd kid has been around for 200 years or not, we need to teach the young kids what is wrong is wrong.

Media mentioned that he was often made fun of because of how he talked and people would tell him to go back to China But they don't talk much into it because I believe that they don't want to put too much emphasis that racism has a pretty large part on why he started to develop paranoia.
