i don't know...i've been here just about 25 years and never had problems not committing a crime. if it's something like speeding or jaywalking or something like that, i kind of doubt that they'd see that as grounds for deportation, but things like felonies and misdemeanors shouldn't get committed anyway? sure it's harsh, but frankly, i wouldn't want criminals in my country anyway

murders, tax evaders, felons, people who milk the government of their money, sex offenders, etc. i think that deportation is a pretty harsh punishment. but like stated above, you do the crime, you do the time.
if you follow the rules and be a model citizen, then you have nothing to worry about.

i'll add a little bit...don't get me wrong, i'm not against illegal immigration. i think the whole border watch patrol thing in mexico is BS, as i feel a good amount of them, who do try to work, are a valuable asset to our country and economy, but despite the race or citizenship, i don't have much sympathy for law offenders.
