Ugh. Not getting the "warm and fuzzy" with Larry Hopkins service...

I understand the logic of doing both, just question the need. They told me it would be ready tomorrow, two days total. maybe this indicates they are not actually doing it all???

I dropped my car off today too for 30K Service, TSB 54 and 55 and I'm picking it up on Thursday. Penske Honda has not let me down yet, I hope they don't screw things up.

For what's its worth, the service dept. at Doten Honda in Berkeley is awesome- the guys know what they're doing and have been super friendly and helpful to me in the past. I live in SF and I get my s2k serviced there all the time.

UPDATE: Makul called me today... car was done a day early! Picked it up this afternoon.
New clutch grabs QUICK! Definitely took some getting used to.
Driver's window goes down all the way, every time! I'm still not used to it though... still reach for the window button after I put the top down, even if it no longer needs to be pressed!
No notchiness in first and second
No buzzing on deceleration
No door dings, oil leaks, or any other dealer-induced horror stories.
The only thing negative...
They didn't reset the maintenance required light!

Just the opposite here...gearbox part is hung up somewhere in FedEx due to bad weather someplace back East. So I'm driving the rented Neon another day. So TSB's 54 and 55 are a 5-day job combined.

OK its all done and no more ringing at 4 grand. They also replaced the 3-4 gearset, and it does seem to shift smoother when cold. I never minded the little crunch, it went away when the trans heated up a bit. So far, i am thrilled.
Ken Terry handled the whole process at Walnut Creek Honda for me, as Stan Renz did before on my rear window replacement. I know WC is not one of the "favored' service locations for our cars but i am pretty impressed with the attention I have gotten there. No worries.
