Tsunami hits JDM Land

im just happy that my cousins and family are okay. as for two of my dear friends i have not contacted them. i tried to reach them through phone but i cant. i was even worried that after the quake and the tsunami, one of japans nuclear reactor's cooling system and is currently rising temperature... and if that blows, that would be another devastating hit for nippon....
Aside from the Russians I was unaware anyone was using the more dangerous of the two reactor technologies anymore.

This is so sad. It seems like a big earthquake hits every year. There was a show on "No Reservation" a week or two ago about the present day Haiti after last year quake. There are about a million people that are starving and living in tented communities of 50,000 and more. No to mention the shitty government that steals the aid money.

Is Japan not using the US reactor technology? I'm really confused by this. Only the Russian design requires an active cooling system. In the US designed when the cooling system fails, the reactor self shuts down.

rob im not quite sure. but radiation already spread as my cousin told me. for which part i forgot. she said as of 7:30am in japan (which is about 3-4pm here) trains are still not moving and they experienced after shocks throughout the night.... my cousin walked 4 damn hours to get home yesterday.
oh btw if you want to help, you can text to make a 10 dollar donation via red cross Txt REDCROSS to 90999 to donate $10 in the US.
thousands have been confirmed dead. 500+ missing and another 1000+ for people who sustained injuries

Nuclear waste seeping in to the environment is no joke ~ can someone say instant leukemia? I recall listening over 94.1 on how our Nuclear site near NY is poorly designed & contaminates the near by body of water; open to the public. One civilian had oysters which were taken from that same body of water in which after only a few hour of consuming & taking a radiation test his results were off the chart! Essentially, with pollution of this sort submerging in water, all aquatic life forms exposed mutate & exponentially affect the next species that consume it - ultimately leading to the catches landing on our plates for dinner.
