TSB's and Dealer recommendation
Hi Gang,
I did some quick searching and see that as of Dec-02, Menlo Honda is the shop of choice on the Peninsula. I have taken my 2000 Accord to Anderson Honda in Palo Alto and had OK results. Not bad but nothing to write home about.
One person on this list wrote of his experience at Menlo Honda where he stated that they did work on the car even though the TSB was for a different year...AND they paid for the rental car. Wow! Just wondering if Menlo is still the dealer of choice on the Peninsula?
I bought my used 2000 S2K from Walnut Creek Honda with 26,000 miles a couple of weeks ago. It is a Honda Certified car plus I bought the extended bumper-to-bumper warranty. It seems that none of the TSB work has been done on this car. It's a bitch to shift in just about every gear, especially 1st to 2nd. I had a good purchase experience with Walnut Creek Honda but they are way too far to go back to for warranty work.
Anyways, how do I get my hands on the TSB's? Are they stocked at the local library? It seems that there are a lot of TSB's that apply to my model year. It's been tough to get them on the net. I searched through the technical section on this site and saw the TSB numbers but couldn't find the detailed text of each TSB.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Ismat.
