Default TSB 011201 Clicking Rear

Sup All,

My car has developed a clicking rear a couple days ago. I did some research and found that many others have had this problem as well and it is most likely the spindle nut getting loose. I called up a couple local dealers but i really dont want to get stuck with a 125 diagnostic bill + $ labor to tighten a nut. I tried to tighten it at home to 220 ft/lbs with a 250lb torque wrench and a 36mm socket with extension(it would hit the car otherwise) and the extension broke/flew off and cutt the shit out of me. All parts were craftsman. If anyone knows of a dealer who can help me please let me know.

Thanks,
Tony Yeung

Bring it over to my place and I'll torque it for you. I've got a 36 mm deep socket that works just fine.

Its not a TSB. If your car is a 2000 I doubt any dealer will cover this. I had it taken care of at Hopkins Honda while my car was still under warranty.

^ Im too mechanically inclined lol. Serious though, i dont mean it just broke off the the socket or wrench, i mean a piece of it literally broke off and that sharp sucker was out like a bullet.

Vu, you got PM!

I took mine to Livermore Honda since Vu and I couldnt get mine apart (too rusted from Hawaii weather). Anyway it cost me under $200 to clean up all the rust. So they have done at least one there. Or take it to Dublin Honda and ask for Kip. Have Rob take a look at it. He worked on my S2000 from time to time so he also knows whats up or take it to Vu.
