Trunk dynamat

Trunk dynamat
Hey guys, so I have one 10" in my trunk and it is rattling like crazy. I have dynamat waiting to be put on, but I'm confused on how to apply it to the top of our trunk. Not sure if that just made sense, but if so any tips?

you sure its not the plastic panel between the soft top and the trunk? mine started to rattle after about a year of having a 12" sub, ended up taking it out and it stopped rattling and bass sounded a lot better

Clean the area with alcohol. Once you cut the dynamat and are ready to apply, have a heat gun/hair dryer to heat the glue on the dynamat. If you don't have a roller use the round edge(handle of screw driver) to push the dynamat flat.
This might not stop the rattle as I had the same problem. Your gonna need to spray Great Stuff or something similar in the trunk to stop the rattle. I've learned to live with the rattle. I only care if it sounds good inside

Mine rattled the same as yours. But stopped when top is down and equipped with a HT

I have the same problem, let me know if you find a solution. I just assumed a sealed trunk + a subwoofer would inevitably rattle. I've messed with my license plate, and had the bottom part of the trunk dynamatted. I need to go the route of a full trunk dynamat, but haven't had the time.

Mine was the rear license plate. Doesn't rattle anymore except all the contents in my secret glove compartment. Lol. figured out adding dynomat will only make my car heavier. Don't want to sacrifice any additional weight on top of the amp, speakers and single 10" sub.

if it's the 'roof of the trunk,' it might even be the latch itself. you'd be surprised how many things start to rattle over time. the only thing that rattles in my car now, is my license plate light cover haha.
