Default Traffic Sensors on Hwy 9?

Has anyone seen that Hwy 9 has traffic readings on Google Maps now? Is this sensor based or what? I don't think that was there before.

I would be highly suprised that anyone would go though the expense of installing sensors for a relatively lightly travelled road.

Perhaps the data is gathered from mobile Google Maps clients.

That's what I'd think Hmmm, but the data seems to change pretty often. I should turn on my K band and X band and see if there actually is anything up there.
