The floor mat thing was interesting. But we've had 3 Toyota 4 Runners in my shop this week, all with issues that came in looking minor and turned out to be 20+ hour jobs. The first was a no-start due to an after market alarm that wasn't properly installed and over-road everything in the car (took us 5 hours alone just to trace the problem circuits, fuses, wires, etc.). The second had a bad knock sensor but it took forever to get the after market super charger, fuel rails, heads, and injectors off. The super charger was never tuned properly when it was installed and caused major engine damage we had to repair just to make the car drivable again. The third had a water pump issue that somehow managed to crack the block and blow a bunch of seals out (I'm personally still baffled at how or why).

Lesson of the week, Toyota is an excellent company, but the 4 Runner is not quite up to par.

ROFL! you got ripped off, i have 2 sets and i dont use 'em. i like rubber floor mats as opposed to loser carpet floor mats. they kinda suck because when it rains the carpet gets really nasty and crappy

They say it affects IS250/350's from 2006-2010 ... I don't know if I should get mine checked out, it seems fine aesthetically ...
