call american tires off brokaw (next to fry's). they are pretty good with pricing.

i just got my tires there last week.

yeah, i was gonna suggest american tires too. they're very cool with negotiating prices. they don't carry toyos, but they can get them for you within a couple of days.

got my good year eagle F1 GS-D3 there, they matched tirerack price, I always prefer them over any other tire shops.

I actually tried to do that with america tire, but they told me that because tire rack was a wholeseller, they would need to add more money to the cost to match them. I was like WTF, so what's the point then?

the point is that you get certain advantages by buying from american tires than if you were to order from tire rack. first you don't have to lug your tires to a tire shop for mounting. second, the cost of mounting would generally be less if you buy the tires from the shop that mounts your tire than if you were to bring your own tires to them for mounting. third, american offers lifetime balance, rotation, and tire repair. also, if the tire is not repairable, they prorate a store credit based on the percentage of tread left. and lastly, tirerack doesn't carry toyos and they won't get them for you.
