So yeah, about 5 miles from my house, this lovely little sucker was about to touch down due to the warm thunderstorm we had yesterday. I was lucky enough to capture a couple quick pics before the cold front hit completely and destroyed it.

Crazy to think it was so close....
I hope this isn't going to become a normal thing for California. We're gonna have to have alarms installed all over the place like the midwest for tornado warnings, and i'm gonna need a basement![lol.gif](https://www.s2ki.com/forums/images/smilies/lol.gif)

This is quite remarkable. I didn't think the storms around the area that day looked all that intense.
Out of curiosity, did the sky turn greenish? I had always read about that phenomenon, and was lucky enough to see it just once in SoCal (a small tornado ended up hitting about 15 miles away that afternoon).

No, the sky stayed as it looks in the picture. Honestly man, it was there for less than 5 minutes. I don't know if some gust of hot air hit the bottom of Mt. Diablo and went upwards towards the clouds and caused it????? I'm no meteorologist
All I knwo is that it was sick, and even sicker to actually watch it churn up top.
Thanks Tim, you and Ryan can come over tonight and help me build a bomb shelter.
