Tire Problems... omg.
Talk about a bad day. I have been driving my s2k more recently now that it is nice out, and I have noticed this strange popping sound upon take off and some cornering from the rear end. It had me kinda worried and I figured since I was about 75k I would take it in to Hopkins honda where I bought the car so they could also take a look at it and get the 75k maintenance done. They pointed something out to me that makes me do a *facepalm*. I was wondering why the car was making the noises. This is what hopkins honda found:
front pass = 205 55R16
front driver = 225 50R16 (rubbing)
rear pass = 205 55R16
rear driver = 225 50R16
Apparently, the Newark Goodyear whom I had trusted with my other cars never bothered to notice that the tires I gave them were 2 different sizes and just put them on randomly. I feel like a dumbshit for not double checking their work but both me and my room mate at the time had good luck with them up until this point. So basically since my tires were put on and I had the oil changed (about 3k miles) my diff has been working overtime to compensate for the different sized tires. I am hoping this didn't do a hell of a lot of wear on it. I am not even sure if they just put the wrong sized tire on the wrong rim, or if they put it on the right rim and just put that rim on the front instead of the back. *sigh*

They suck for not doing the right job but frankly it's your fault for not checking what you are buying......
Lousy shop - I would talk to their manager to at least give you a PROPER set of tires for free.

either way you should see if they will take care of you. if the tires you bought were directional, they have to remount the tires either way since one side has both the same direction
