Welcome to the club . . . I lost twice with Ticketassassin. The first one went through Trial de Novo. I was the last person to plead my case and I got the full fine and my request for traffic school got denied (pa-dow . . . $104 out of my pocket and one point on the record). The second ticket I was guilty but was ordered to go to traffic school (went to traffic school within 18 months already, so that is 2 within 18 months; nevertheless, no points will appear ). If I were you, I'd get a lawyer. I seen a lawyer in the courtroom and he was 3 for 4 (he talked to 3 pigs and they agreed to dismiss the charges; the 4th case was suspended for a later date . . .this lawyer almost got a "drinking in public" charge dismissed ). Lawyers get respect from the judge, not us regular folk. By the way. . . I would like to give a big F*CK YOU to our traffic courts and another F*CK YOU to the pigs who like to push tickets.

I just beat one using ticketassassin. Sorry it didn't work for you.
Here's a plan though....
When you file for the trial de Novo, you have the right to "discovery," meaning you have the right to see any evidence they have against you. Type up a letter and hand-deliver it to the agency that cited you (i.e. CHP) asking for front and back copies of the officer's copy of the citation (full of good notes you don't get to see on your copy), ask for the officer's radar training certificate, ask for the radar calibration log (supposed to be calibrated using a tunig fork every time they use the unit), etc. Most agencies are very poor at getting these things to you in a timely manner.
So when the court date comes and the judge calls you to the stand, immediately file for a motion to dismiss due to denied access to evidence necessary for your defense. Show the judge documentation that on such and such date you submitted the letter exercising your right to discovery and they failed to comply. The judge will most likely throw out the case. Good luck to you.
