Default Thunderhill Open Track Event

Hello to all Northern California S2000 owners,

The Sacramento Area Miata Owner's Association is sponsoring an open track day at Thunderhill on Thursday, April 11, 2002. We are limiting the event to just 45 cars in 3 run groups, so there will be plenty of track time during the day. We want to extend an invitation to any S2K track junkies to join us. The cost is just $155. You can find more information and online application forms at our web site at http://www.samoa.org

Your stock rollover protection is acceptable. Snell SA90 helmet or better, and any passengers must be over 18. Hope to see a few of you there.

Sure, I'll go. Not quite as inexpensive as the Day of Thunder, but much cheaper than Laguna.

Hey guys/gals,

I appreciate that a number of you expressed interest in participating in our track event at Thunderhill. We are really looking forward to a great event with lots of great ragtops. I know everyone is distracted by the holidays right now, but I just wanted to remind those of you who are interested that we have had a healthy response already. Groups A and B are half full, and there are just a couple more slots open in C. So please get your application and $$$ to me as soon as you can. I won't be cashing any checks until I make actual payments to the track.

If you want, you can pass me the app and check at Laguna next month, as I am signed up for your event on the 14th. Just drop me a direct email at rpetrich@samoa.org with your intentions. Thanks. See you all next month.

Ron

Hey Ron, I just moved to California from Chicago, and I was lucky enough to find this thread in the forums. I have a new S2000, and I'd love to run with your club. I've downloaded the forms and my registration and check are on the way to you. Please sign me up for your intermediate group. Although I have several track days under my belt, I have none with my S2000, and of course none at Thunderhill. But a day hot-lapping with a multitude of other sports cars (of all kinds) sounds really great. Its also a great opportunity to get a feel for the track before the S2K club's summer event. I'm in.

Reviving this thread. Who's going? I'm going to check with rpetrich to see how many spaces they have.
