Default For those who have their plate custom

So i want to get a custom plate for my S2000, and was wondering after you purchased the custom plate, they mail it to you? pick up at dmv? then after that what happen to your current plates? ex: (6DCV123). Or do you have to go back to dmv and have them register on the car you would like to put on.

Thanks.

This, but in reverse order. You give them your old plates, they assign the new plates to the S, then give you the new plates.

Also, make sure you take your registration into the DMV because you will receive an updated form as well.

LOL ironically I read that post backwards! If you order your plates just go down to the DMV when they come in and do the switchero there. Took me about 1 hour after waiting in line. ><

I practically slept outside the DMV I was so excited to slap my new plates on. I was the first one in and out with zero wait (except the 1+ hour waiting in the cold out front).

Make an appointment! Spent 10 minutes waiting in the appointment line and another 10 going through the process. In and out in 20 minutes!
