Actually Ev, you may wanna check in with a family lawyer on this.
$300/hr. now could save you massive headaches with the DMV referrees later.
However, for ~$14K, nice daily driver and/or sublime show car.

Just because it's registered doesn't make it legal. If it's an R34 it's 100% illegal, none of them can technically be imported. Motorex imported a bunch of the R34s by committing fraud, eventually the DOT caught on which is why you can't do it anymore. It wouldn't suprise me if the majority of imported GTRs weren't actually legal. States are significantly more lax than the feds about registering cars. If it wasn't legally imported, any time you get pulled over or anytime you register your car it could get impounded and deported or impounded and crushed. Just not worth it to me.
The engine was phenominal and the car was a technical expo when it came out.....15 years ago. Think about how much has changed since then? If you want a GTR I'd get the new one, it'll be legal and will likely stomp the old one badly. Old dream cars are nice but the modern production is better.
I used to love the old countach back in the day and part of me still wants one, but the reality is I'll never buy one. I'll still get my lambo but I want a modern production, the countach wouldn't live up to my childhood dreams anyway
