Default Things I saw in SD

Was in SD this weekend and just wanted to put down the cars i saw (I have pics of some I'll post up later, no digicam for me just yet)

1. Diablo VT on 5 south around LA, yellow color (got a pic coming)

2. Black s2k with hardtop

3. Some yellow civic with black hood (dont htink carbon fiber...) with 8 video screens in it why?! I ASK YOU ALL!!! WHY!!!!?!

4. Rx7 (FC3S) that was supercharged. First time I heard the sound of s supercharger, was interesting =)

5. A freight truck completely totalled, seemed like the rear driver tire on the freight box thing completely blew up, dented the whole thing and truck flew to side of road and went boom. Cockpit was totalled =

6. A few m3's

7. Prelude and Civic racing... too bad I didnt go in my s2k

From the trip I realized... man.. So-Cal people sure do like their NO2...

Anyhoo came home and finally got my plates w00t!! ^_^*

Anyone know about legality of front plates and how anal cops around here are? I really dont want front plates =( but would rather not get a ticket.

Stay tuned for pics once i get them developed-

The plates thing depends on where you live. I think all the SF guys will testify that the cops are pretty anal about it. I don't think the cops in my area(Menlo Park) really care. I bought my car late Nov '01 and my plates are still in my trunk, under the mat, and I've never had any problems.

What is the law on front plate anyway... that must be MOUNTED to the front of the car? or just visible from the front, like on your dash or the back of the visor with it flipped down or something? Anyone?

Ment N2O was in a rush in typing =)

La Jolla is still not bad, ricers galore and breaking into cars has become bad problem near the campus, lots of Integra's get busted up for parts.

Loads of street racing for some reason, all riced out, in La Jolla itself I didnt hear a single turbo or SC or anything, woulda thought college towns had more racing oriented cars guess not.

Good school, just too laid back for my taste

I would say...if you have exhausts on your car...you'll have problems with it...I swear on this...Cause my car isn't stock...has a euro plate...but no exhausts...and I haven't been pulled over yet...and I've had my far share of driving next to cops, behind cops, seeing 3 cop cars in a span of 2 minutes...Just this past weekend I was going about 80-90MPH on 80 to Davis...and there was this motorcycle cop behind me...and I didn't even notice...and he just passed me by. Gave me a heartattack
