so your clutch died after you got to tap?...or did you guys go somewhere else?
when i was leaving the place.

it depends , if the spring is broken or something , i might buy a clutch disc. maybe street one this time instead of 6 puck.

some other evo guys are saying maybe

I've heard of pucks breaking off and jamming themselves in there. the clutch fork or TOB could have broken also.

If the clutch fork or TOB was not replaced, then it most likely failed.

We'll do the clutch job for $700.00 if you need to buy a replacment disc/PP, or other items that may or may not have broken. Sorry to hear man.

I've rocked ACT in a lot of cars and never really had an issue.

I wish it was just the throwout bearing that needed to be snapped back in place...woulda been alot cheaper.

at the risk of starting an arguement, I disagree. Highest failure rates ive seen have always been associated with ACT clutches. Ive seen it in RX7s, Maximas, 240s, Hondas, and more. This is not to say other clutches dont fail, Im just saying ive seen it the most with ACT......

^-- agreed. my first prelude had one and one of the springs broke itself off the disk.

as for the clutch perhaps look into other reputable companies. See if Exedy has a Carbon Kevlar clutch available, those should last very long while maintaining exedy reliability for the mechanical parts like the springs
