Tosco and Chevron own most of the oil lines in the state.
They used to ONLY pump 87 and 92. Then Tosco realized they could sell 91 for the same price, so they decided that they would only pump 87 and 91. Chevron followed suit.

Was wondering what happened, filled up at the local 76 and noticed super went to 91 octane... looked at the next grade and it's 88.5, whatthehell?!?!
It's bad enough they're still keeping those 9/10 cent fractions around.

I never go to those Texaco, 76 or shell, so I am not aware of the 91 thing.
I just got a tankful of 92 from George's Gasoline at $1.879 this Saturday. The World oil next to my company also has plenty of 92 at $1.879.
