Default Texaco still has 92

The owner wasn't in to confirm if they were going to be switching, but all other gas stations in the area have the 91 stickers up and the Texaco around the corner from my work does not.

Now what the heck happened to the 92 everywhere??? I hadn't heard anything about this, and now you can't buy it?? WTF. It's my understanding that the difference in octaneity between 89/92 does NOT affect emissions, only octane rating! Did those damn treehuggers pass some EGR type bill again???

Nope,

The tree hugging oil corporations realized they can sell 91 for the same price.

Every Valero (sp?) I've been in recently still had the 92 octane. As did a Union 76 I used up in the Sacramento area last week. I'm headed up to Oregon tomorrow for an interview, so it'll be interesting to see what's available along the way.
