Tein CS Install
Im about to get my Tein CS Coilovers really soon. The only thing stopping me right now is the installation part. I know people say "DIY" but then i dont really know the s2000 suspension really well. Although i would learn alot from doing it myself, i think letting someone that has already done it would be better. I like how stock feels with no clunks etc...and i dont want to hear nothing like that when i put it in. Anyone have any recommendations on where to bring it? Any board members in SF know how to do this well? If its an experienced person, i dont mind paying them either. I think this would be a good way for me to meet someone on the board and they can easily earn some $$$$!!!
As for doing it myself, i do have the helms manual so is it really best for me to do it? I havnt looked at it but like other honda's, do i need to pop out the ball joint? How long is the install? I have all the tools also...

Do it yourself but you might need a extra hands. It is really not that hard. I install my Tein coilover myself. It took my about 2-3hrs. Just make sure to follow the direction on the Tein manual and the s2000 serivce manual.
If you want some help on installing the coilover, I can help you out.
If you want to paid someone to do install the Tein, try Don Lam @ Hilltop Auto Service in Daly City.

iceple,
Sure I will help you out also when you get your coilover. Just let me know. I was in the same situation deciding on either Buddy Club or Tein for my car. I end up getting tein because if I ever need to get my coilover fix, I can just sent the coilover to Tein office in Southern California.

TEIN has:
CS
FLEX
RA
RS
N1
And another one based on the RS where it will be DUAL EDFC compatible.
I did it myself. If you do it yourself just make sure with the front you measure from the fender lip to the center of the hub so once you remove the 2 a-arm bolts you can put it back to "compressed" once your install the C/O. Otherwise the front will feel raised and wierd beacuse the bushing will be bound in the incorrect position. The rear is a PITA. It's beter to have 2 people so one can wrestle the swaybar and the other can install the C/O. The rear Drivers side is the PITA also. I did my front's in ~45mins for both sides.
I can help you for kinda free if you want... Basically pay for my gas and toll and I'll help you. Should be <$20. Sound cool?
Lemme know
