Default Tech Days

Hi,

We need to plan at least two more tech days.

1st: For all those people who want help with the speakers. We could do it at my house, or near my house. I have a 2 car garage (small, but adequate). Plus, I live next to a park and a library which have tons of parking.

If there is anything else we want to install... it may be possible, but no changing fluids at my house... my landlord would kill me.

2nd: For those of us going to the Russel racing school. I propse we get together to change brake pads, oil, or whatever else that can be done with little fuss. That way all our cars will be ready for the hard core driving . Anyone want to volunteer their house for this ??

I'm in. Should have Spoon CAI by then, plus front speakers (Sony drop-in 3-ways).

I'm definately in! I'm probably going to get new speakers this weekend- haven't decided about getting the kenwoods everyone recommends or the sonys. Nofe- did you listen to both? How much are the sony 3-ways setting you back and are you going to cut the basket to install 'em? Well, lets set up the time and count me in!

How does 9/8/01 at 10:00 am sound? My house should be o.k, but if someone has a bigger place please let us know...

BTW, My place has a two car garage and a driveway, but everything else is street parking, unless you want to walk 1 block (tons of parking any which way you go from my house).

I'll PM all who are interested with my address.

I listened to the Sonys and the Polks that have been talked about a lot on this board. Didn't get a chance to hear the Kenwoods. Anyway, the Sony's were way better suited to my ears, with better bass response and overall better "brightness". They cost about $80 at Circuit City.

I don't think you have to cut the speaker basket but if so, I can bring a Dremel to the event. I'll do a bit of reading over on the Electronics forum to check. I know AlwaysLurking has these, and he mentioned that it was a 15-minute job.
