i took mine out 2 weeks ago..
first make sure you order a new belt.
I've yanked out my AC lines, AC condensor, Evap unit, Blower, Compressor.
all together you save about 55lb with everything out.

Unless your racing competitive saving 55lbs really isnt worth it IMO. You're gonna need a new belt because once you remove the compressor you will need a shorter belt
It seems like a good idea now when its 55deg out, but once it hits 100 this summer your gonna be kickin yourself

Here's why you want to get a new belt. When you remove the A/C compressor for reasons I can't for the life of me wonder why, your belt drive would be obviously shorter. By removing a pulley on a motor that is single belt driven with a tensioner you will need to shorten the length of the belt.
Also have fun paying the air conditioning guy to decompress your compressor and removing all the A/C Unit parts. That'll cost around $300-$800 depending on where you send it to. Removing the A/C ain't as simple as you think. Why don't you just get the shorter belt and bypass the A/C pulley?? There's a concept
Let me know if there are other parts you want to get rid so that I can take them off your hands for yah. You don't need to remove the A/C. Your Supra buddy who recommends not to do it is a smart man.

removing AC isn't that hard. if your just removing the compressor, condensor and lines its a 2hr job. it's when you want to remove the stuff under the dash that becomes a pain in the ass. took me 9hrs.
