Hey Guys / Gals, just wanted to thank all of you for coming through to chill and grub with us. It was nice seeing all those sick s2000's. It was awesome finally getting to meet a few you s2ki members. Although the turnout wasn't as big as the last event, it was better and more chill cause we actually got to meet one another.
I'm glad most of you liked the food. The chicken consists of a gang of ingredients. This is what I did to it:
- I first cleaned the chicken wings and tried to pull off all the excess feathers.
- Then I put a cut in between the two bones so that the marinade can reach the inner meat and also help to cook it faster.
- Then I boiled the chicken wings so that it'll cook on the grill before it burns. (I know how it feels to be hungry; then biting into a chicken wing and it's still bloody..) haha
After you boil the chicken, let it cool down before you marinate it..
Marinade consists of:
- Chopped/diced fresh garlic
- Chopped green onions
- Strings of ginger
- Sliced red onions
- Lemongrass
- Yoshida Sauce
- Seasame Oil
- Oyster Sauce
- Soy Sauce
- Lee Kum Kee's Char Siu Sauce
- Black Pepper
- Thai Chili Pepper
Chicken was marinated 2 days prior to the bbq cause cooked chicken takes longer to soak up the ingredients. If it wasn't pre-cooked, there would have been more flavor to the chicken. PM me if there are other questions in regards to the chicken or anything else.
Ultimately, I had a awesome time. I hope to be able to hang out with you guys again soon. Pictures will be up as soon as I get a chance to edit them a bit..
