That's only for cable-throttle models.

All CR models are DBW, if I remember correctly.

According to the website, the Vortech system for DBW S2000s is not CARB-certified yet.

That would mean that this car wouldn't be street legal, and that makes it a lot less attractive, in my opinion.

Good point - the seller has to SMOG the car before sale so I wonder how he plans on doing that?

I had a PITA time doing SMOG for my supposedly CTSC smog legal setup so if this Vortech setup is not legal that would be a pain when it comes time to do the registration. Removing it each time would be horrible....

I thought you only smog a car that you sell if it's > than 4 MY.

http://www.dmv.ca.gov/vr/smogfaq.htm#BM2535

I didn't smog my 05 s2k when I sold it.

Yeah, no smog necessary on this car for transfer.

I saw that car too, and liked it, but decided it was more than I wanted to spend. He seems to have a lot of nice parts on it!

thanks Kristine! But when it comes time to SMOG then probably gotta pay some shady place $$$ to get the car to pass the visual.

Yes I agree $35k is a lot of money ~ in comparo there's a local BMWm-coupe that an owner is selling for 29k highly modded and super clean.

^ Z4 M coupe or Z3 M Coupe?

The Z4 M coupe (assuming is an 06-08) is a nice, but weird looking car to me, you either love them or hate them.

^ Z4 M roadster/coupe - both are cheaper than a new S2K /CR when they're a few years old

it's easier to find a Z4M roadster in the low thirties, just because of availability (3050 were sold in the US, compared to 1800 coupes).
